Exposure of cemented Orontes gravel (conglomerate) east of the modern river south of Homs, between the villages of Arjun and Dab’a. In situ exposures such as this were formerly widespread in the region but many of these thin conglomerates have been removed from the land surface to make way for agriculture. The remaining exposures, like this one, are typically in the surface of dirt roads.

Their mapping has allowed the terrace sequence in this area to be resolved (see main diagram).
